Hi, Whenever and wherever Kaoru goes, he creates tsunami like commotions. I could feel feverish event at the Super Deluxe.
Here in Midwest of U.S, we went to a holiday gathering last night. We met one of your class mate's father, Mr. Dodd from U. City middle school??.
Today, I played Taiko recital as the final class with Itoh Junsei. There were seven children with each parent, plus me without a kid. We played a short renshuu daiko, Jusei said, came from Kodo. A big song was Isamigoma, theme and variations. My playing was not quite Isamigoma, a la senior energy. The number of audience was less than players, but people enjoyed it very much.
It is getting cold in St. Louis. Have more fun in Japan. Keep us posted.
Love, Mama

Thank you, Mari, for making this journal. It was the most exciting and memorable summer for me. At last I learned how powerful Taiko playing is and signed up for the beginner's class at the Osuwa Daiko where Kaoru was a founding member at age 11. Love, Ayako
