Sunrise at Prospect Park Lake

Before dawn on Friday the 25th, Barbara, Evan, Courtney, Mari and myself along with filmmakers Yuki Kokubo and Jeff Chuang met at Prospect Park Lake in Brooklyn and set up our drums for a sunrise video shoot.  I played fue for the ducks, swans and mosquitos as the sun rose.  We then played taiko as early morning joggers, cyclists and dog walkers passed.  The reflection of the morning sun created a beautiful rippling effect on the Ojime face.

Filmmaker and budding taiko player, Yuki Kokubo took a few still images as well and passed them along. Thanks so much to Yuki and we will let you know when the final result is ready!
