Hello Everyone! This is Mari, the temporary newsletter updater for this week. Kaoru is currently away for a few more days, preparing for a concert with On-Ensemble and Patrick Graham in Los Angeles. Here are some updates for this week.
CHIEKO KOJIMA WORKSHOP – Thursday, March 17, 6pm
There are only a few spaces available for this workshop!!!
Chieko Kojima, founding member of KODO, will be going over her signature piece, Hanahachijo. This workshop is presented by KASA (Kodo Arts Sphere American). Please RSVP to kaoru@watanabekaoru.com if you haven’t already with the subject line: “Chieko Workshop”. Kaoru will confirm with you once he has received your email. $30 members, $40 non-members.
YOSUKE ODA SESSION – Thursday, March 24, 6pm – CANCELLED
Another great member of KODO, Oda, Yosuke will be in town! he will be demonstrating his expertise in Odaiko and Miyake. Please review the class schedule below. If you would like to attend any of the following practice sessions, please email Kaoru preferably 2 days in advance.
• Practice Session on Thursday, 3/10 is confirmed.
• For the Practice Session this Sunday, 3/13, please email Mari by this Friday, 3/11 at 5pm if you would like to attend. She will send you a confirmation by Saturday afternoon. Email her directly at mari.nakano@gmail.com.
